ucsf they may pose radiation risk. >> this is higher than commonly known. >> the study led a-to-a raidsation study involving computed tammo graphy found doses of radiation vair qeed widely depending on hospital protocols and which technician was operating the machine. >> they're highly variable. the dose received for the same study could vary up to 20 fold. >> she found a high doses approached levels linked to radiation poisoning. the fda expressed concern after cedars-sinai in southern california admitted it had miss stickenly overdosed more than 200 patients giving some up to eight times normal dose. equivalent of 50,000 chest x rays. because of the concerns california lawmakers passed a bill to put new safety
